VOLUNTEERS – OUR ASSETS @ PCNL
(THE MANY HANDS THAT TURN WORK INTO JOY)

Most of our elderly Resident Users are either living alone in 1-room units, or with co-tenants they are not able to communicate with, or with work-centric family members. In short, they all share some common social deficiencies ….they need attention, they need a listening ear, they need assurance, they need bonding, and they need YOU.

Volunteers play a great part in an environment like this. They can provide the friendship and the bond that may be presently missing in the lives of the elderly, the needy and the lonely.

PCNL needs volunteers in the following areas :-

Regular Volunteers
To lead or assist in the routine activities in the Centre;
To be part of the home-visit team;
To escort the elderly on their medical appointments;
To provide counter service in letter-reading and agency-links.

Event Volunteers
To initiate and organize events;
To assist in major PCNL events;
To contribute on event organizing committees.

Occasional Volunteers
To provide escort service for hospital appointments;
To help distribute large quantity of gift items:
To assist in home surveys and mass house visits.
